As per the reports of blockchain security company PeckSheild, the major cryptocurrency exchange Crypto.com has lost around $15 million worth of Ethereum (ETH) to hackers. PeckShield Inc informed the users by the tweet.
Earlier the users were complaining about some suspicious activity on the exchange. Many users claimed that their funds were stolen and they are not reflected in their account. After this, Crypto.com tweeted, “we have a small number of users reporting suspicious activity on their accounts. We will be pausing withdrawals shortly, as our team is investigating. All funds are safe.”

Crypto.com stopped its all withdrawals on the exchange on Monday and resumed the withdrawals after 14 hours. CEO of the exchange Kris Marszalek informed the users by the number of tweets.
Some thoughts from me on the last 24 hours:
– no customer funds were lost
– the downtime of withdrawal infra was ~14 hours
– our team has hardened the infrastructure in response to the incident
We will share a full post mortem after the internal investigation is completed.
